This project is about how a complex program can be solved in an extremely simple and cost-effective way.

In particular this bridge had to be fully accessible for disabled persons while at the same time allow for barges to pass through the canal below. The solution is exemplary of a simple and effective formal gesture; achieved with 1 hinge and 1 actuator.

This Design & Build competition was won in 2004 with general contractor BAUDIN-CHATEAUNEUF.
